Computer Printing Etc. Project A!
Was developed from a need to create jobs, grow businesses, create opportunities for businesses to connect with each other and their customers in the Wiregrass Area, and give back to those that have a need; while creating a better world. These things will be accomplished through 3 major areas. They are Education, Awareness, and Giving Back.
Phase 1
Education
In order to develop an Entrepreneurship City we must develop entrepreneurs. We are training future business owners on how to start a business and grow a successful business. We offer free seminars on topics ranging from knowing the different types of business structures to contracting. We have partnered with the Dothan Area Chamber of Commerce, Mixson Business Center, and Troy University for these presentations.
Phase 2
Awareness
Developing business is one thing, helping them to succeed is another. Phase two is to develop a website for businesses. Businesses and individuals throughout the Wiregrass Area will have the opportunity to become a member of our site. There will be different levels from discount member to sponsor members. Business members will be list on the site in their particular area of trade. Advanced members will receive free web space for hosting a website. Advanced members can build a site on this space themselves or we can build one for them for an additional cost. The businesses will have to meet some strict criteria and pay a small fee to help with costs in managing, advertising and funding various projects/programs (i.e. networking events, expos, seminars, etc.). Members of the community will be able to also become discount members and receive special discounts to events as well as special discounts from business members.
Phase 3
Giving Back
Throughout the program we will be taking a portion of the profits and putting it in a fund to help with larger programs. Some of which I would like to see are as follows:
- Grants for Businesses
- Scholarships
- Community Development Programs
We will be doing smaller projects throughout the year, but once again these will be our larger programs to hopefully create a greater impact on the community.
